After years of driving to a salon in Nashville for hand sewn extensions, a friend suggested that I make an appointment at Forward Hair Lab. I loved the way my hair turned out and I was thrilled to find a salon so much closer to home! The experience is much more relaxing than a typical salon and the stylists truly are the best at what they do. If you are looking for the best hair stylists in the Memphis area for hand sewn extensions, balayage and correcting damaged hair, I can’t recommend Forward Hair Lab enough.

I have been Lisa’s client for over 25 years. Throughout the years, she has done a fabulous job on color and cut. After a health crisis that left my hair very thin and fried, Lisa put extensions in my hair that made me look like me and helped me nurse my hair along. I had a cut and color last week and my hair is again healthy and happy. Thank you Lisa!

My hair is much thinner than it used to be, so I decided to schedule a consultation with Lisa. She explained how just one row of extensions for volume could change my life and she was right.i decided to book the appointment and I absolutely LOVE my hair now! My hair actually looks great when I wake up. I don’t have to wash or style as much because my style stays put! She color matched my hair with the extensions and even added highlights with the extension hair! I love it so much I don’t think I will ever be without my “hair” again. 100 percent recommend. I love going to The  Forward Hair Lab.   Katie Devine has actually been my stylist even before she started here.  She’s actually been doing my hair for the last 10 years now.   After every visit to her I’m always asked “Where do I go & who does it?”   She’s a genius when it comes to color.

The owner Lisa Forward McKenzie is also a very good stylist & a wiz at color as well & I’ve also known her for 10 years.    They’re both concerned with fulfilling the client’s needs & beyond fulfilling their expectations.

The Forward Hair Lab itself is a cozy little shop with just 2 stations, 2 shampoo bowls, & 2 dryers and I really do love that about it as well !!  It’s a very quiet and relaxed setting. 😊
